Volunteer Position Description

 

The Arrows Away archery program offers introductory archery experiences to participants ages 8 to adult. Participants learn basic archery safety and techniques and gets lots of shooting time.

requirements

  • Basic bow and arrow knowledge and experience

  • Ability to communicate with participants and staff

  • Training will be provided

duties

  • Set up before and clean up after, Arrows Away archery program

  • Assist participants understand the basics of shooting a bow and bow safety

  • Assist with basic maintenance of archery equipment

  • Be able to effectively communicate with participants and staff on various aspects of the program

  • Represent the Michigan DNR in a positive and professional manner


volunteer shifts - memorial day weekend to Labor Day weekend

  • Typical shifts listed below

arrows away Program

  • one weekday per week: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

  • one evening per month: 4:00 pm – 7:30 PM

  • 2 - 3 volunteers needed per shift
