Hook, Line, and Sinker
The Hook, Line, and Sinker (HLS) program at Wolf Lake gives kids from ages 3-16, the opportunity to fish in a stocked pond. More than 8,000 kids have participated in this program and it is successful because of the support from the Friends of Wolf Lake.
The Friends of Wolf Lake provides $1,500 each year to purchase and maintain the fishing equipment and provide a grand prize package to one lucky angler at the end of the season.
The Friends of Wolf volunteers work through the season to help kids bait hooks, cast, and release fish back into the pond.
The Friends of Wolf Lake volunteers also do all the maintenance on the fishing equipment - volunteers play a huge roll in helping to make sure that equipment is in good shape so each young angler can have a positive experience.
