Hook, Line, and Sinker

The Hook, Line, and Sinker (HLS) program at Wolf Lake gives kids from ages 3-16, the opportunity to fish in a stocked pond. More than 8,000 kids have participated in this program and it is successful because of the support from the Friends of Wolf Lake.

  • The Friends of Wolf Lake provides $1,500 each year to purchase and maintain the fishing equipment and provide a grand prize package to one lucky angler at the end of the season.

  • The Friends of Wolf volunteers work through the season to help kids bait hooks, cast, and release fish back into the pond.

  • The Friends of Wolf Lake volunteers also do all the maintenance on the fishing equipment - volunteers play a huge roll in helping to make sure that equipment is in good shape so each young angler can have a positive experience.
