The Friends of Wolf Lake and the Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery Visitor Center rely on volunteers to help with many parts of our programs. Below is a list of some other volunteer opportunities and what is needed. The list is not everything, so if you have a skill or expertise that you would like to share, please contact us - we would love to work with you to find a fit for you on our team.

ANIMAL CARE

  • Care for the live animals at the Visitor Center that includes feeding and cleaning aquaria and other animal exhibits

COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Assist with community and special events such as Art Market, Nature Lovers Date Night, Photo Contest, and more

FISHING POND MAINTENANCE

  • Help keep pond shorelines and docks clean and safe for public use

MARKETING

  • Develop materials and methods to let the community know about the work we are doing

TECHNOLOGY

  • Assist with maintaining and improving our website and social media presence to help us get the word out about the work we are doing

FUNDRAISING AND GRANT WRITING

  • Help raise money, find and apply for grants to secure funding for projects big and small

social media

  • Share your social media savviness to help promote the fun and exciting programs, activities, and events happening at Wolf Lake

VIDEOGRAPHY

  • Develop videos that highlight programs and work at Wolf Lake
